Pennsylvania Oks transmission line
It amounts to another nail in the coffin for opponents of Dominion Virginia Power’s plans to build a high-voltage transmission line through the Piedmont.
Last Thursday, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission joined its Virginia and West Virginia counterparts in approving the tri-state, $1 billion Dominion and Trans-Allegheny Interstate Line Co. project.
Virginia’s State Corporation Commission (SCC) authorized the portion of the line in the commonwealth contingent upon approval by West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
